Chapter One
The Fascinating Truth about the Wise Mind

You are a being of true magnificence and power, and you can resolve and transform the challenges of your life through the brilliance of your own Wise Mind. You can move from the illusion of darkness to the reality of light, from your limited self to your essence. Through your Wise Mind and the amazing process of transformation, you can set yourself free.

In this book you’ll learn how to access your Wise Mind and its revelations. You’ll learn the Wise Mind Process, an original and astoundingly simple yet powerful way to resolve your challenges moment by moment. The process is filled with enlightenment and power. You’ll learn ways to transform your life so that you can operate on the highest levels.

Through this altered perception, you can handle fears and negative thoughts, relationships, sadness, anger, stress, losses, self-deprecation—everything that you perceive to limit you—and you can experience huge shifts in wellbeing, health, work, relationships, and spiritual growth. You’ll learn specific ways to release obstacles so that you can experience love, wisdom, compassion, and peace and find new knowledge and spiritual wisdom.

You Don’t Have to Spend Years Working Things Out
Everyone in one way or another is looking for a way to overcome the challenges of being human. Almost everyone subscribes to realities of limitation, be it pain in your body, economic or relationship challenges, or old traumas or abuses. Whatever you may perceive, everything in your life presents an opportunity. All of it contains the seeds of dynamic transformation. It means that you don’t have to spend years working things out. Through the power of your Wise Mind, you can make dynamic shifts to lift yourself into new ways of being. You can step into advanced levels of your life.

What if you could expand your awareness so beautifully that you might even perceive that you made everything up? You as universal consciousness have creative power. When you step into an expanded understanding, you may see that there is a reality far more potent than your old perceptions of your life. This potent reality is the expanded recognition of your magnificence, love, and power. From this vantage point, what you tell yourself about “what happened to you” is not necessarily the highest truth.

The Wise Mind Presents Itself
The Wise Mind has brilliant transformational power. If you ask the question, “What would my Wise Mind tell me about this?” you can open the door to great revelations and shifts in every part of life.

I regularly ask people, “What would your Wise Mind tell you about that?” Their answers are often fascinating. People from all walks of life and of all ages bring forth wisdom about their life situations that help them to shift their habits, succeed in their careers, remove old blockages, transform their relationships, and dissolve their anger and fear.

What Exactly Is the Wise Mind?
In essence, the Wise Mind is the eternal wisdom of your soul, a part of the infinite wisdom of the Universe. It is the part of you that knows. My eighty-four year old Aunt Phyllis said to me, “I know what the Wise Mind is. My Wise Mind is God sending me my right thoughts.” She is listening more and more to these messages, and true transformation is taking place in her life.

We travel far and wide to find answers. We visit shamans and shrines, teachers and sages, and yet we have in the inner terrain of consciousness a vast network of truth, a universal system that exists as a microcosm within us ready to let us know what is the greatest path to follow, the wisest ways to look at our lives, and the most effective ways to transform ourselves. Not that there is anything wrong with visiting outer sources. This is often important and necessary. Yet there is a place of truth and knowing in the inner depths of being that we can’t deny.

The Wise Mind is brilliant, but not in the same way as the intellect. The Wise Mind is brilliant because its wisdom transcends ordinary awareness and shines like a million stars. It is all-knowing divine energy, alive in us since the beginning of time.

The Wise Mind, also called the superconscious state, is a natural part of the self, as natural as love, and when we come into contact with it, we are given a tool that shifts the very core of our life. It’s the crown jewel of states of consciousness, and it is the remedy for all the issues and difficulties of life. The Wise Mind, along with its brothers and sisters, love, peace, light, forgiveness, bliss, healing, and enlightenment, are all forms of divine experience. When we work with the Wise Mind, we tap in to the vast pool of the superconscious system of the Universe, our innate resource for becoming enlightened and transformed.

Preparing For The Best

November 7, 2006 at 12:55 am | In Hypnotherapy, Journal Entry | No Comments

Someone asked me recently whether or not hypnotherapy is good for physical healing of trauma…my answer a resounding yes. Truly it is the body which does the healing and truly a relaxed state delved into with the assistance of a professional hypnotherapy session is the ideal place to be before (e.g. surgery) or after a trauma. The relaxing, deepening of the waves of the brain during sleep or hypno-therapeutic trance quicken the healing response. In such a relaxed state certain hormones specific to healing are created by the body. These hormones naturally occur and if their production is quickened through conscious intention during a relaxing hypnotherapy session, then healing times can be reduced.

Hormones created in response to stress can indeed slow healing times and keep us physical victims. A victim hangs onto and identifies with his/her situation and if the body in creating chemicals actually slows the healing response then it too is “identifying” and perpetuating its own victimhood. Choosing to experience deep relaxation before or after a trauma is to say yes to healing.

Experiencing a hypno-therapeutic session also has an additional powerful benefit with regard to the healing response. In such a deep relaxed state, the conscious thinking mind associated with beta waves (alertness) takes a rest and the deeper more intelligent universal consciousness moves to the forefront. It is here in this state that it becomes extremely effortless to visualize the healing we are experiencing.

To visualize healing light or energy in its various forms and colors is truly one of the most potent forms of healing we humans have at our disposal. In the state of conscious trance this task is so easy, the aura can be visualized and enhanced simply by focusing thought.

Take to heart the wisdom of the body and use the tools given to you to heal, grow and enlighten yourself in this amazing moment of our illumined planet!  To experience a guided healing proceed to: www.hypno-freedom.com

One Issue At A Time

September 28, 2006 at 10:03 pm | In Hypnotherapy | No Comments

Working with a good hypnotherapist is an extraordinary way to create positive, healthy results. The most effective way to attain those results is to work with one issue at a time.

I’ve had many clients ask if they can work on two or more issues in one session, and that’s just not practical. It’s too diffused. I just heard a great metaphore lately for this very topic: would you rather be a light bulb or a laser beam? A light bulb is diffused light, covering every corner of a room with its energy spread out. A laser beam with the same amount of energy as that light bulb can cut through steel!

So if you want a highly effective and supercharged session, focus on just one issue, narrowing it down to the most specific part. You will be amazed at the results!

Success and the Subconscious

September 25, 2006 at 7:41 pm | In Hypnotherapy | No Comments

Have you ever wondered what is holding you back from achieving your goals? Did you know that what might be keeping you from the success you desire is rooted at a very deep, subconscious level?

No matter what your conscious goals, all actions are directed by the subconscious mind. Have you ever dreamed of a goal, or obediently repeated an affirmation, yet nothing happened? It’s because your subconscious mind was not convinced of your goal. No matter what you say out loud, or affirm repeatedly, if your subconscious mind is not in alignment with your wish, it will never come true.

The subconscious mind has been likened to the crew of a ship. If your conscious mind is the captain, your subconscious mind is the crew who, when in alignment with the captain, will do as told. If the captain gets out of rapport with the crew, it is highly likely that the crew could mutiny. And let’s face it—the captain is one, the crew is many. If the crew decides it doesn’t believe the captain, the crew will take the ship wherever it wishes. This, of course, is NOT the most efficient way to run a ship!

And neither is it the most efficient way to run your life. Your conscious mind SHOULD be in control, but all too often, the subconscious is driving the ship and is out of rapport with the conscious mind. If you get back into rapport with your subconscious mind, success is limitless!

So how do you get back into rapport with your subconscious mind? There are three possible ways: 1) a sudden trauma or jolt (this could be something “good” like winning the lottery), 2) constant repetition of an idea or thought, or 3) hypnosis.

I would suggest the third option—hypnosis. Option one, a sudden trauma, is not a sure thing and very difficult and highly unlikely to set up on purpose. It can also be very traumatic in other ways, and therefore very damaging. Option number two is good for learning something (repetition is an excellent way to learn a language, for example) and it can and should go hand-in-hand with subconscious work, but it’s not very efficient and certainly not expedient. Hypnosis, however, is fast, painless, enjoyable, easy, safe, and highly effective. It’s possible to make major breakthoughs in any one area you are working on in just one session. Hypnosis addresses both the conscious and the subconscious minds, guiding them to work together in efficient ways to solve the problem. And once the session is over, you can judge its effectiveness by the way you feel and the results you get.
